I read a newspaper article recently about a Primary 1 boy being bullied in school . The boy was dragged forcefully by a group of Primary 2 pupils into the school field. The bullies rained a sea of punches onto the poor boy’s stomach. In another incident, the same boy’s hair was snipped off by the bullies. I felt sorry and agitated over the pain and the humiliation the victim had to go through. At the same time, I also felt very angry with the school bullies. “They have no right to bully the boy,” I thought to myself. Later in the day, I spent some time with my father discussing about school bullies . My father said, “School bullies are actually very insecure people. They always pick on meek people to bully so that they could feel more powerful than others.” My father advised me to be more open and inform my teachers and him if I encounter school bullies. I nodded appreciatively and replied, “Thanks dad for explaining to me about school bullies and giving me support.” I then gave my
