It's me again ... this time with an essay entitled "Unforgettable lesson - do not overeat".
“Hurray!” Jack exclaimed excitedly. Hearing from his father that he would be going to his favourite Japanese buffet restaurant, Jack’s heart sang in joy and his eyes danced.
On reaching the restaurant, the appetizing sights and smells emitted from the sumptuous buffet spread made Jack’s mouth water. Like an excited schoolboy, Jack immediately grabbed a large plate and joined the queue. Moving along in the queue, Jack started piling his plate with food his eyes laid fancy to.
Within seconds of settling into the leather read seat, Jack started gobbling the food down. He was as hungry as a wolf. Not contented after his first round, Jack made a beeline to grab seconds. Although he was full, Jack nevertheless, continued wolfing down several rounds of food. Jack’s father looked on open-mouthed, astonished at his son’s huge appetite.
Returning home from the buffet fully satisfied like the cat that got the cream, Jack went up to rest in his room. In his room, waves of excruciating pain ripped through his tummy. He was in such tremendous pain that his chestnut brown eyes if could talk would signal that he was in agony. Deathly pale, Jack slumped onto his bed, clutching his stomach. Summoning his remaining energy, he called out for this mother, “Mom, I’m in pain!” When Jack’s mother heard his pleas, she immediately dropped whatever she was doing and dashed into Jack’s bedroom. On seeing Jack as sick as a dog, she stood rooted to the ground and stared at her son with deep concern. Regaining her composure, she brought Jack to a nearby clinic.
At the clinic, after a few questions and examining Jack, the kind doctor diagnosed Jack as having experiencing indigestion and this was caused by overeating. The doctor then advised Jack to control his appetite in the future. Jack blushed and turned as red as a tomato after what the doctor had said.
Since this incident, Jack learnt a valuable lesson and never was as greedy as a hog ever again.
Heh heh ... have you experienced the above before ... I am kinda eating lots these days ... may need to keep in mind to always do things in moderation.
See you!
