A painful lesson – a bully’s story | Essay for kids | Elijah Wee | Singapore

A painful lesson – a bully’s story             It was indeed a painful lesson for me.             I was the notorious school bully. My friends and I would usually go around picking on smaller built individuals. We would beat them to a pulp and found satisfaction in doing so. I radiated such an aura of menace that everyone stayed an arm’s length away from me. Little did I know what was in store for me …             It was dismissal.             Pupils were rushing forward to their parents and domestic helpers at the school gates like bullets from a revolver upon school dismissal. Exuberance bubbled among the pupils as they walked back home eagerly. To my friends and I, it was just another bullying session once again. Without hesitation, I set my almond-shaped eyes on Jamie.             Jamie was an effeminate bespectacled classmate of mine. As small as a dwarf, he was a kind, tousle-haired boy who always helped other people in need. Why must he much more perfect tha

It was all my fault (heated quarrel between siblings which got ugly) | Essay for kids | Elijah Wee | Singapore

Here is a featured essay "It was all my fault" I wrote in class during my Primary Five days at Ngee Ann Primary School. Quarrels among siblings are very common. Description of a woman in distress | Descriptive Passage | Elijah Wee | Singapore

Description of a woman in distress             Her only hope was to keep crying out for help.             “Help! My son is drowning! Please, oh please, someone please save him!” Mrs Lim shouted hysterically for help. She tore her greying hair wildly as she looked at her drowning son, who was rapidly sinking like a stone into the dark merciless waters of the lake. Trying his best to stay afloat by kicking the unrelenting waters vigorously, that action ironically caused her son to sink even further. Panic ripped through Mrs Lim’s throat, robbing her of all oxygen as she gesticulated wildly, hoping to catch the attention of a passer-by but to no avail. Tottering near hysteria, she clung onto the only thing which could give a sliver of blind hope. Her only hope then …             Her only hope was to keep calling for help.
