I am back now with an essay I wrote about "The Killer Litter Incident" during my Primary Three (i.e. 9 year old) days in Ngee Ann Primary School.
“Goodbye, I will see you tomorrow!” Tom shouted as he waved farewell to his friend. It was a sweltering hot afternoon and all Tom wanted to do was to have a cold shower. With the image of cold water beating his back, Tom took to his heels and made his way.
“Goodbye, I will see you tomorrow!” Tom shouted as he waved farewell to his friend. It was a sweltering hot afternoon and all Tom wanted to do was to have a cold shower. With the image of cold water beating his back, Tom took to his heels and made his way.
On
his way home, Tom noticed a man on the fourth storey. His
face was a red mask of fury because he wanted some money from his wife to
buy beer but his wife refused to give it to him. The man had an angry expression on his
face. Tom saw him carrying a television
set. With an ear-piercing scream, the man threw the television set out
the window. Just then, an unsuspecting woman was walking by. Tom tried to warn the woman but it was too
late.
The television set sailed through the air
and hit the woman on the head. The
woman fainted and blood gushed out from her head. Without
hesitation, Tom made a beeline to
the nearest telephone booth and called the police and the ambulance. He also informed the police what had happened.
Within minutes, the police and the
ambulance arrived. The paramedics gingerly placed the woman onto a stretcher before she
was whizzed off to the Singapore General Hospital. The police then proceeded to cordon off the area. After asking Tom what he had witnessed, they
went up to the fourth floor and arrested the man. After
that incident, shards of broken glass and blood stains could be seen around the
area.
