Learning how to ride a bicycle has been quite an experience for me and it has not been easy! Here is a short essay I wrote when I was in Primary 2 (8 years old) on this. Well in this picture composition, it was rather smooth-sailing though!
Learning how to ride
a bicycle
It
was a Sunday afternoon. John’s father
brought John to East Coast Park to learn how to cycle. John was excited as he had always wanted to
learn how to ride a bicycle.
When
he got his bicycle from the rental shop, John immediately hopped on the
bicycle, put his feet on the pedals and started to pedal. His father told him not to be afraid and to
just keep pedalling. John listened to his
father’s instructions and kept pedaling on.
After
ten minutes of practice, John was finally able to cycle down the stretch of
pavement properly on his own! His father
was in
seventh heaven to see John’s achievement. John’s father encouraged him to practise hard
on his cycling every day. John agreed
with his father to practise. His father
rewarded him with ice cream at the Mcdonalds nearby. John was delighted with the treat. It was indeed a happy and exciting day for
John at the East Coast Park.
