Do you like insects? Have you been attacked by any insects before? Here is a short essay I wrote when I was 8 years old (Primary Two), about the "Attack of the bees". Read on ...
Attack of the bees
It
was a bright and sunny Friday afternoon, a perfect day for an outdoor activity.
Jane was at the park with her parents and her brother, Thomas. She was looking
at the trees when out of the blue, she saw a bee hive up on a tree. Being a
curious girl, she used a stick and began hitting it. She wanted to know if
there were bees inside.
After
her fifth hit, a swarm of angry bees buzzed out and started to attack her. The
bees buzzed angrily around Jane. She was dumbfounded at first. Five seconds
after regaining her composure, she took to her heels and fled.
Unfortunately, the bees were too quick for her and they began stinging her. She
stopped and tried to protect herself. Her family members heard her incessant shrieks of
terror. Curious, they went to check where the noise was coming from. By
then, Jane was sobbing uncontrollably. Jane’s father called for an ambulance
while Jane’s mother and Thomas consoled Jane and gave her some water to drink.
The
wailing sirens of the ambulance were heard ten minutes later. When the paramedics
arrived at the scene, they placed Jane onto a gurney and pushed the gurney into
the ambulance before she was whizzed to the hospital. Jane’s family accompanied
her into the ambulance.
Reaching
the hospital, Jane was immediately wheeled into the emergency room. After being
examined by the doctor, he prescribed her some medication and an injection to
help relieve the pain. That day Jane learnt a valuable lesson and never did she
throw stones or hit a bee hive ever again.
Scary, isn't it? To be attacked by a swarm of angry bees ... Hope you like this story. More soon to come, I promise.
C ya!
