Description of a woman in distress | Descriptive Passage | Elijah Wee | Singapore

Description of a woman in distress             Her only hope was to keep crying out for help.             “Help! My son is drowning! Please, oh please, someone please save him!” Mrs Lim shouted hysterically for help. She tore her greying hair wildly as she looked at her drowning son, who was rapidly sinking like a stone into the dark merciless waters of the lake. Trying his best to stay afloat by kicking the unrelenting waters vigorously, that action ironically caused her son to sink even further. Panic ripped through Mrs Lim’s throat, robbing her of all oxygen as she gesticulated wildly, hoping to catch the attention of a passer-by but to no avail. Tottering near hysteria, she clung onto the only thing which could give a sliver of blind hope. Her only hope then …             Her only hope was to keep calling fo...

It was all my fault | Essay for kids | Elijah Wee | Singapore

"It was all my fault" tells an unfortunate story when feelings got in the way of action ...              It was all my fault.             It all started from the rivalry my cousin, Fenton and I had. Fenton was the most filthy rich pupil in my class. He was unbelievably intelligent too. What made him a source of perfection was that he was extremely handsome. His raven dark hair and huge dark eyes certainly attracted lots of attention. In comparison, I was poor. Ever since Father’s demise, Mother needed to work hard so as to make ends meet. Furthermore, I was not even the least bit intelligent. The last straw was that I paled in comparison to Fenton where looks was concerned. I was corpulent and not to mention, had a pimply face. Why is God so unfair? My jealousy continued till that fateful day.            ...

Danny's Dreadful Drowning Incident | Primary School Essays | Elijah Wee | Singapore

Here's another harrowing experience about " Danny’s Dreadful Drowning Incident" . The incident that occurred to Danny always sends shivers down his spine whenever he recalls it. In fact, Danny can remember the incident so vividly till this day. The chain of events started on a Saturday afternoon. Fluffy white clouds floated across the clear blue sky. The sun blazed unforgivingly. The sand glittered gold in the sun as Danny, Dick and Tim, most affectionately known as The Three Musketeers played with their red beach ball. There were a lot of people at the beach. Some were sun tanning, while others were having a picnic. Adrenalin pumped through their bodies as the three boys played “Catch it if you can!” Danny taunted both Dick and Tim. At the same time, he tossed the beach ball with all his might beyond Dick and Tim’s reach. The ball landed onto the deep end of the water. A current had carried it further away from the shore. Danny was dreadfully upset. Dick ...

A near drowning incident at East Coast Park (Primary 3 Essay for 9 year olds by Elijah Wee, Singapore)

Here is another post on an essay which I wrote at home when I was in Primary 3 (9 years old) . I am currently at Ngee Ann Primary School and enjoying my learning journey here with my kind and attentive teachers and cool friends. Hope you enjoy this essay!             The East Coast Park had beautiful scenery. It was one where birds would be seen chirping merrily. It was a tranquil Saturday morning. Golden rays of sunlight sprinkled the ground . Cynthia, together with her best friends, Sally and James, were skipping excitedly at the East Coast Park. They were beaming with happiness .             Unexpectedly, black clouds gathered in the sky. At the same time, the wind was whispering dismally through the swaying trees . A flash of lightning streaked across the sky and this was followed by light rain . A few minutes later, raindrops fell like a thousand sil...
