What happens when you turn a deaf ear to your elders? | Essay for 10 year olds | Elijah Wee | Singapore

The title of my next essay is " What happens when you turn a deaf ear to your elders?" . Have a read to see what happens ...  Blurry-eyed, Jane woke up and thought aloud. What is the time now? Seeing the time on her alarm clock, she gasped in horror. With a whoosh, Jane rushed towards the bathroom like a speeding bullet from a revolver. It was already seven in the morning! Jane finished her bath and dressed into her school uniform all within the time frame of seven minutes. Mrs Tay shook her head when Jane came out. “You should really have a sense of urgency,” Mrs Tay told her, her voice indicative she was angry. Her blue eyes stared at Jane as Jane wolfed down her breakfast of ham sandwiches. Mrs Tay also reminded Jane to take an umbrella along. The sky looked dark grey, which could mean that there was an impending storm. Alas! A Rainy Day at the Beach | Primary Three Essay for 9 Year Olds | Elijah Wee | Singapore

During my Primary Three days, I wrote the following essay "Alas! A Rainy Day at the Beach" . Tell me how you find it. It was a sweltering hot Saturday afternoon. Mr. Lee and his family were at home enjoying each other’s company and watching television.  In the midst of the afternoon movie, Mrs. Lee suggested that they go to the beach to chill out.  Mrs. Lee’s suggestion was greeted with glee by her children, Jack and Jane.  Like eager beavers , the Lee family immediately started packing into the car what they needed for their outing.  Grinning from ear to ear , Jack and Jane, entered the car. Meanwhile, Mrs. Lee laid out the picnic mat under the shade of a nearby Rain tree. Comfortable, she took out her book and started to read it. They were having so much fun at the beach.  Unexpected...

I will be posting up a couple of the school essays I composed during my Primary Three (9 year old) days at Ngee Ann Primary School . Here's one entitled "A friend in need on a rainy day" . It was raining heavily. Rain poured won in torrents. Lightning flashed and thunder roared. Janet was walking back home from school when the thunderstorm began. She immediately went to take shelter at a bus stop. Janet found that she was not the only one taking shelter at the bus stop. There were several adults, and even Janet’s friend, Anne was there. Janet found a seat beside Anne and sat on it. Janet then talked to Anne, “Hello, Anne.” “Oh, Janet, how nice to see you!” Anne said. Janet and Anne chatted happily as they waited for the rain to stop. They got to know about each other’s favourite books, interests and more. At that juncture, a truck appeared. It whizzed past the bus stop, splashing dirty water onto the people at the bus stop. Janet got drenched...
