Unforgettable Lesson - Do not overeat! | Essay for 9 Year Olds | Elijah Wee | Singapore

It's me again ... this time with an essay entitled "Unforgettable lesson - do not overeat" . “Hurray!” Jack exclaimed excitedly.   Hearing from his father that he would be going to his favourite Japanese buffet restaurant, Jack’s heart sang in joy and his eyes danced . On reaching the restaurant, the appetizing sights and smells emitted from the sumptuous buffet spread made Jack’s mouth water .   Like an excited schoolboy , Jack immediately grabbed a large plate and joined the queue.   Moving along in the queue, Jack started piling his plate with food his eyes laid fancy to. Mark the Glutton - a case of overeating (Elijah Wee's Primary Three essay for 9 year olds)

Here was a short essay I wrote about a case of overeating by  “Mark the Glutton” . It was a sweltering hot afternoon . Mrs. Tan had just returned home after buying a number of jars of chocolate chip cookies. They were from her favourite store “Donna Manis”.  Just as Mrs. Tan placed the last jar of chocolate chip cookies into the kitchen cabinet, the telephone rang, initially startling her .  Like an excited school girl , Mrs. Tan rushed to answer the phone call. She smiled broadly as the caller was her long lost friend. Just then, her son, Mark, came into the kitchen as hungry as a wolf . He began searching the kitchen for food like a hunter its prey . Mark was pleasantly surprised when he unexpectedly stumbled upon jars of his favourite chocolate chip cookies.  Without hesitation , he immediately reached out for the three jars and began wolfing them down leaving no trace except for the biscuit crumbs .
