Have you ever experienced (probably yes?) a most unforgettable incident which served as a hard lesson in your life? "What happens when you shirk your homework?" - this was the title of an essay I wrote in Primary Three (9 year old). Tell me what you think? Jack sat in his seat, his eyes glued frantically onto his Science assignment.  Being particularly weak in the topic, he had been desperately recollecting from the deepest recesses of his mind to solve the questions posed but to no avail.  Miserable as he was with the lack of progress in his assignment, he prodded on as glum as an oyster . Here was a short essay I wrote about a case of overeating by  “Mark the Glutton” . It was a sweltering hot afternoon . Mrs. Tan had just returned home after buying a number of jars of chocolate chip cookies. They were from her favourite store “Donna Manis”.  Just as Mrs. Tan placed the last jar of chocolate chip cookies into the kitchen cabinet, the telephone rang, initially startling her .  Like an excited school girl , Mrs. Tan rushed to answer the phone call. She smiled broadly as the caller was her long lost friend. Just then, her son, Mark, came into the kitchen as hungry as a wolf . He began searching the kitchen for food like a hunter its prey . Mark was pleasantly surprised when he unexpectedly stumbled upon jars of his favourite chocolate chip cookies.  Without hesitation , he immediately reached out for the three jars and began wolfing them down leaving no trace except for the biscuit crumbs . Learning how to ride a bicycle has been quite an experience for me and it has not been easy! Here is a short essay I wrote when I was in Primary 2  (8 years old) on this.
